Francesca Villani graduated in Philosophy (110/110 cum laude) at the University of Lecce-Italy in 1998, defending a thesis related to the origin modern psychology. After graduating, she studied topics of social psychology, attending the “Observatory Woman” of the University of Lecce and training courses by the Province of Lecce on social services and education. In 2002-2003, collaborating with ECAP Emilia Romagna-Parma, a professional training institute, she coordinated “Famiglie ospitali Nord/Sud”, a project of experimental and research nature, with the goal of favoring the insertion of young people of southern Italy into families willing to host them in Emilia-Romagna during their job training period. In 2003-04 she attended a training course in the research and divulging group directed by Prof. Emer. Roberto Fieschi of the University of Parma and afterwards, in 2006-07, she collaborated to coordination activities within “Scientific Degrees Project”, an Inter-University project targeting to secondary Italian schools, finalized to disseminate Materials Science and incentives for subscriptions to its courses. In this project, managed by the Department of Physics of the University of Parma, she followed the activities in e-learning and took care of the website contents. In 2006-07 she also worked with the association Googol of Parma on a project for the dissemination of science in kindergartens. Since 2011 she has been working as administrative secretary in CNR-IMM, Agrate Brianza.
