Giovanni Maria Sardi was born in Siena, Italy, in 1980. He received the bachelor's degree and the master's degree (cum laude) in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Siena, Siena, Italy, in 2005 and 2008, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering (curricula on Electromagnetic Wave Engineering), from the University of Siena, Siena, Italy, in 2012. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Microelectronic and Microsystems, National Council of Research (CNR), in Rome, Italy, working on electromagnetic modeling and system design for microwave microscopy applications. His research interest include also antennas, microwave devices, and metamaterials. He is Member of IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, of IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society, SIEM (Società Italiana di ElettroMagnetismo). He serves as reviewers of IEEE Transaction on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, IEEE Transaction on Electromagnetic Compatibility.
